02/04/2009: The store is OPEN!

It has been an laborious ordeal but we have finally opened the doors. Stock is in place and we plan on being able to offer the same availability at both locations. It may take a little while to get the kinks out but at least now we can start saving some customers time and expense of traveling to Belmont.

12/23/2008: We have found a software company that can get us back on line for opening the new store. However, it will be at least the middle of January before we will be able to have the software in place. This whole turn of events has been quite a shock for us and I am deeply saddened by the time lost and the disappointments that our local customers must be experiencing.

12/11/2008: Came to the realization that the software that we have been using for the last 20 years and recently up-graded to achieve our goal of opening the new store would not serve us as we had been told. We now accept that Mail Order Manager by Dydacomp is not designed to transfer merchandise from store to store in any logical fashion that simulates a successful business model.

12/05/2008: We started moving products into the store in the the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall

November, 2008: Having searched the Charlotte market for a year and preparing for the eventual addition of a new store in marketplace, we have been able to sign a lease on South Boulevard just 3-4 blocks south of our previous location. If all goes well, we should be able to open for business around Thanksgiving.

This will be an additional location that will be located in the building with the Sleepy Poet  Antique Mall at 4450 South Boulevard. The Sleepy Poet is on the left side of South Blvd between Scaleybark and Woodlawn, across the street from the bowling alley (Centennial Lanes). The entrance to our shop will be on the same side of the building as the Sleepy Poet  - just a little further to the rear of the building.

We will stock a full compliment of products stocked from floor to ceiling so you should be able to get anything from this location that you would be able to get from the Belmont location.

We have been looking for a location to the North - University City to Huntersville - and this locations does not prevent us from opening another store in that area.

Our warehouse operation will remain in our present location after we open a retail shop. Customers will be able to frequent the location that is most convenient.

Our directions are more accurate than Google mapping or other mapping services.
