2011 Cider Saturday
November 12th

We will be hosting our SECOND Apple Cider Festival on the 2nd Saturday in November. Johnny Appleseed of Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill will bring in a truck of fine apples for juicing. We will teach you how to make cider and cyzer. We will be culling, crushing and presses apples so you can purchase apple juice so you can make your own cider.

We will have a number of ciders available for sampling. We hope you can attend. Please sign up in advance and pre-order the cider and the White Labs Cider yeast that you will need.

This session India Pale Ale is a continuous (by homebrewers standards) hopped beer that is for the hardcore bee enthusiasts. This balanced East Coast I.P.A. should exhibit some citrusy character from the hop selection with a healthy hop nose and bite. This session beer is for hardcore beer enthusiasts! 60 minute boil.
In the style of: Dogfish Head 60-Minute India Pale Ale

                     7     lbs            Light Dried Malt Extract (DME)
                     1     bag           Specialty Malts—w/muslin bags—large
                                                     Aromatic Malt
                                                     Crystal Malt—60L
                                                     Honey Malt
       4——1/4     oz             Warrior, bittering PELLET hops

4:10 pm 		While looking for wines to post in our dated wine bargain section, I was able to round up some 2009 Limited Release wine kits from Winexpert. These kits had been stored in good conditions and are between 4 and 8 months old. These are some of the best wines we will get all year so they are extremely good value wines. I hope you have a chance to enjoy them.

When these are gone, there will be no more.

As I looked further, I discovered that I had never posted Cellar Classic Winery kits to the site. So, I posted them. These are exceptional kits that come with 10 pounds of grape skins and make excellent wines.

Big Brew 2010 - Brew Session & Camp Out

We will hosting the Carolina Brewmasters for this annual AHA sanctioned event.

2nd Saturday Brew Session

Next Saturday we will be brewing an ALL-GRAIN batch of
Quiet Storm Stout
along with an extract recipe - Belgian Witbier.
We had a turn out and everything went well on both batches. We served chicken wings, baked beans  and Koslner from Olde Mecklenbury Brewery.
