90 Minute Double Pale Ale

Color International Bittering Units Alcohol
16 88 +/- to 134 +/- 8.8

Our 90 Minute Double Pale Ale is absolutely the best beer that I have ever had at such a young age and with so much alcohol. It is hop every 10 minutes for 90 minutes. The balance is exceptional. The nose is perfection in a glass. This beer was drinkable leaving the primary going to the secondary, prior to carbonating. It has a very dominate but not overbearing hop presence. This beer is to die for.

When kegged, this beer is ready for drinking immediately after carbonating.

Notice the different bittering level based on a partial boil (88 IBU's) and a full boil (134 IBU's).

In the style of: Dogfish 90 Minute Imperial Pale Ale

Caution: Extremely vigorous fermentation.
Straining,
use of large fermenter (at least 7.8 gallons),
use of blow-off method and bagged fermenter are highly encouraged

unless

you use Fermcap S to eliminate the fermentation cap formation.

Why would you buy a recipe without yeast?

  • You already have yeast
  • You will buy yeast from another source
  • You won't be brewing for a while and you'll get yeast later

Bottom Line: you always need yeast
